just incase you don't already know, AF selection point is what you use if you know what area you want to focus on or where your subject will be. when looking at the back of the camera, you click the button that you use to zoom in when you're reviewing, that's the button in the very top right corner. sorry if you already knew that, but i'm just trying to help
